flyover Fly - "Over"

Cebu City, Philippines - “WE ARE not few.”

Businessman Bunny Pages said that those opposing the proposed Banilad-Talamban flyover are from “a wide spectrum of the community” contrary to what Cebu City Mayor Tomas OsmeƱa said.

The mayor has argued that while there are just a few residents and businessmen with vested interests in the Banilad Town Centre (BTC) who seek to block the project, the flyover will benefit thousands of constituents from 15 northern barangays who favor the construction.

The flyover has its benefits, it just happens that the alternate option this business man proposes has more. Common, if we want Cebu City to grow, to be industrialized, we need to have bigger roads. And that's not just for banilad-talamaban roads, but all our city roads.

I don't know why this mayor, who, in the past, invests in such expensive and unsure SRP, can't support the idea of having greater, wider city roads. I guess this gives more fruits than the latters SRP project. He always said that he wants to improve cebu's status, now here's his chance.

With wider roads, banilad will be flocked with investors, giving our city government more funds(to corrupt). Tommy should have an open mind instead of arrogance. If he's thinking of greater good, then support this widening project. Anyways, if there's a will, there's always a way.

Hello "SENATORS"

MANILA, Philippines -- The Senate committee on rules has voted to let the committee of the whole hear the wiretapping issue linking President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo and a former election official to cheating in the May 2004 polls.

Those who voted in favor of referring the privileged speech of Senators Panfilo Lacson and Richard Gordon to the “mirror of the plenary” were Senate Majority Floor Leader Francis Pangilinan, Senate Minority Floor Leader Aquilino Pimentel Jr., and Senators Lacson, Francis Escudero, and Manuel Roxas II.

Okey, here we go again, Hello Garci Issue. Don't they know that filipinos were now very exhausted of this never ending controversy. These Senators should know what to prioritize. Common, with so many issues that needs urgent attention like developing our country, do they have extra time for this nonsense. We all know that this move is politically motivated.

With these happening, I'm confused if our "Senators" have GUTS to be be senators. All they want is publicity. They just want to advertise themselves(Hey are they for sale?). And what's this news they're into hello puppy scam. Phew, I think senate is not that low to handle this nonsense issues( Yah, like this can't be solved by tanods.hehe..).

Magic Black Out

Cebu City's Traffic Division should have a quick response in today's traffic problem because of this black out. Perhaps its about time to have a back up generator for thier traffic lights. Imagine, Jeepneys moving like turtles. Vehicles in the intersections stopped. Pedestrians crossing like they're having a procession. Believe me, this sight is very awful.

Anyways, one or two deco lamps(supplied for ASEAN) is/are enough to buy this generator/s so maybe, they can't give us a budget reason not to. If they're(politicos) sincere as a leader, there's no reason not to do what's best for our people. Common, even if you're(politicos) that corrupt, we're counting on you to help us. Just do this for your childrens and grandchildrens(Right, do this project instead as another source of corruption. ).

Also, please advise our citoms that for the meantime, while our traffic lights were out, stay posted in your posts. I haven't seen them in the streets doing this traffic stuffs. I think this is there job. Please show to us that our taxes we're not put in vain.

Hope this issue will not be reposted in the next black out. :)
